Dark Chocolate Peppermint Cocoa

Servings: 2

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Heat milk in saucepan on medium high until milk is hot and beginning to steam.
  2. Remove pan from burner.
  3. Whisk in sugar, extract, and chocolate chips.
  4. Continue to stir constantly until chocolate is fully melted. If coca is not hot enough continue stirring over very low heat.
  5. Pour into mugs. Enjoy!

Notes

This cocoa is good enough to drink just as it is, but you can add your favorite toppings. In our humble opinion this recipe is best served with whipped cream.
