Rhubarb Custard Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pkg. 2 layer yellow cake mix
  • Ingredients needed to prepare cake mix as directed on package
  • 4 cups chopped rhubarb
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 pint whipping cream

Method
 

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 9X13 pan.
  2. Prepare batter for the cake mix according to package directions.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  4. Spread rhubarb evenly over batter.
  5. Sprinkle sugar evenly over rhubarb.
  6. Pour whipping cream over the top of all.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
  8. Cool a half an hour or longer. The custard sets up more the cooler the cake is.
  9. Can be stored covered in the refrigerator for about three days.
  10. Enjoy!
